Display Garden

Each year the staff at Milberger’s Landscaping and Nursery creates a beautiful “stroll through” garden.  Pat Martin, who heads up Milberger’s Plant Rental Department designs the gardens and each year there is a different surprise theme.





Cooking with Herbs in the Herb Kitchen

Cooking demonstrations presented throughout the day featuring Dr. Connie Sheppard of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.  Sampling with recipe handouts.  Everyone attending the cooking demos will receive a free copy of the San Antonio Herb Market Associations booklet Herbs: Nutritious and Delicious.  Experts provide tips on growing the hardy herbs that thrive in our South Texas climate.




Floral Design Challenge

Members of San Antonio Garden Center arrive at the show Saturday morning and find buckets of “Mystery Flowers”.  Their challenge is to create a beautiful design. The designs will be evaluated and the 3 top designs will receive prizes.  The Challenge is hosted by the Floral Design Schools at SAGC.  Design Schools will be held in October and next February.  You will be able to sign up for one or both schools at the Challenge.






 2017 Daylily Show and Sale

Members of the San Antonio Daylily Society show off their prized daylily blooms and ask for your vote to determine the ‘Best of Show’.  Members will also be selling daylilies and answering your questions about growing these “perfect perennials”.
